Terms of use.
These terms describe the agreement between you and Dispatch. We've kept them short and readable. They're not a substitute for legal advice — if you need that, talk to a lawyer.
What Dispatch is
Dispatch is a service that aggregates articles from public RSS and Atom feeds published by news outlets, research organizations, and independent writers. We store metadata — titles, excerpts, publication dates, links — so you can browse and search. We do not store or redistribute the full text of articles.
When you click an article, you're sent to the publisher's website to read it there. Publishers retain all rights to their content.
Your account
You need to sign up with a valid email address to use Dispatch. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't share your login, and use a decent password.
You can delete your account anytime from the settings page. We'll remove your data within 30 days.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service. Specifically, don't:
- Try to scrape Dispatch itself, overwhelm our servers, or probe for vulnerabilities without permission.
- Use Dispatch to republish scraped content elsewhere. Our excerpts are for your reading — not for building a derivative product.
- Add feed URLs that violate the publisher's terms of service (e.g., paywalled or login-gated content).
- Use the service for anything illegal.
If you do, we'll terminate your account. In rare cases of abuse, we may share information with law enforcement.
No warranties
Dispatch is provided as-is. We try to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uptime, that feeds will always be up to date, or that our service will meet your specific needs. We can't be held liable for what you do with information you find through Dispatch, or for decisions you make based on it.
Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. When we do, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced via email. Continuing to use Dispatch after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Termination
You can stop using Dispatch at any time. We can terminate your account if you violate these terms or if continuing to operate the service becomes unreasonable. If we shut down the service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and let you export your data.
